Majorca Properties: New bungalow in first sea line right on the beach

Residential properties located directly on a sandy beach, are a rarity in Mallorca. This is for several reasons. For the first, only a fraction of the about 460km coastline is composed of sandy beaches and  for the second, not necessarily it was allowed to build on and if it was, those sought-after locations since the beginning of the tourism boom in Mallorca in the sixties, always were reserved for the hotel industry. What is not surprising in view of the fact that about 85% of all income is generated directly and indirectly in tourism.

By the construction of secondary residences, the economy of the island has relatively small and mainly short-term benefits,  therefore on the most beautiful places of Mallorca you can find especially hotels.

Even more remarkable is what happens at the moment at the east coast in the beautiful "Costa de los Pinos". A property developer, which is active for decades on the island, has succeeded to acquire a large area of ​​land directly on a sandy beach. Since the planning permission already existed for this area, it can now begin the construction of a complete residential complex with pool and Mediterranean garden, consisting of two phases.

The first phase consists of 51 residential units, of which, in mid November 2013, 25 units have already been sold.

Even more extraordinary proceeds the sale of a total of only 6 terraced bungalows, each with 3 bedrooms, from which to date already 4 are sold.
